OB/GYN Residency Program

Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

Even interviewing virtually, I could tell this this program was full of caring individuals who support each other, support their patients, and advocate for social change. I knew that it would be a place where I would be able to thrive rather than just survive during residency.

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

I love high-intensity situations and medical complexity, as well as teaching, population health, and QI research. I’m a bit undifferentiated, but right now I can see myself pursuing a fellowship or becoming an academic generalist.

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

I have loved getting to hang out with my co-interns when we have days off together! Aside from that, I found an independent bookstore close to my apartment, three incredible Mexican restaurants, and the East Bay Bike Path.

Where do you live?

On the East Side of Providence, a few blocks walking distance from everything you could ask for (and a 6-8 minute drive to work in the morning)!

One fun fact about you:

I have danced my entire life! Tap is my favorite. Looking forward to finding a new in-person or virtual studio in Providence.

One piece of advice for candidates:

Everyone will say this, but just be yourself. You’ll find the programs that best match your personality that way. Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask questions to current residents before or after interviews; especially virtually, the more answers you can get about a program, the better!
