During all blocks, residents care for patients under the supervision of hospital- and community-based faculty with a focus on developing graduated autonomy.
Our residents have the opportunity to participate in leadership development throughout their residency training.
Simulation plays a big role in our curriculum with dedicated simulation days throughout the year.
Mentors play roles in many ways: adapting to residency, work-life balance, academic progression, and scholarship.
We have several opportunities for resident participation in leadership roles and encourage our residents to be leaders more broadly.
Efforts are underway to broaden educational opportunities about the importance of various types of advocacy throughout one’s career.
