The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is dedicated to improving the lives of the diverse individuals, families, and communities in Southern New England while serving as a role model nationally and internationally.

Our vision is to be the premier Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, recognized for excellence, equity, cultural competence and quality in all aspects of our work including comprehensive patient care, research, education, innovation and leadership.

We are proud to serve our diverse community in Providence and the surrounding region. Patients we care for come from diverse backgrounds with large immigrant patient populations in Providence from the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Portugal and Cape Verde and refugee populations from Libera, Congo, Syria and Nepal. Nearly half of people in Providence speak a language other than English, most commonly Spanish, Portuguese, and French Creole.
