Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

I was drawn to OB/GYN because it is a field that encourages shared decision making between providers and patients, incorporates longitudinal patient care, and offers a breadth of practice scopes between surgery, hospital, and community based care. I chose Brown because of the exposure and academic enrichment, the access to a diverse patient population and the communicated commitment to advancing a mission that encourages and supports diversity within the residency program and at the community level.

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

As of right now, I think I want to be a generalist. I love the diversity this field provides and want to be able to continue to explore all aspects of this field in some capacity as long as I can.

I am also very interested in global health. I would love the opportunity to serve my community abroad.

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

I enjoy exploring the different neighborhoods in Rhode Island, going to the beach, and playing basketball at the outdoor courts.

Where do you live?

Federal Hill

One fun fact about you:

I have eaten a 3 pound gummy bear in one sitting.

One piece of advice for candidates:

Remember your journey is your own. It’s very easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing and where people are interviewing etc. Remind yourself of what is important to you and make decisions based on that.
