Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

Having never lived outside the state of Louisiana, it was important to me to continue my medical training in a completely different area of the country. I was very fortunate to have mentors at LSU who trained here at WIH and spoke incredibly highly of the program. During my interview, I was completely blown away by the sense of support and community between the residents and faculty. Being on the other side of the MATCH process, I am constantly inspired by my coresident’s willingness to advocate for our patient’s needs daily. I am energized by their example and have come to expect more out of myself as a provider than I ever thought possible.

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

Fertility Medicine and Obstetrics

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

Eat Italian food! Check out Atwells Street for some delicious eats

Where do you live?

East Providence! I live down the street from the local comedy club; during the summers, they have outdoor live shows--Such a blast

One fun fact about you:

I have an adorable golden retriever puppy named Ruby. I love the Providence is such a walkable and dog-friendly city. She especially loves Ogie's Trailorpark and their "puppy burgers." HMU for any of your dog parenting questions!

One piece of advice for candidates:

Online interviews are tough and it's often hard to get a full feel on different programs. The best advice I've ever received was to contact other students in your interview group; reach out to them if you have questions about their home program. This may help fill in some of the gaps.
