Kalin Gregory-Davis, MD (She/Her)
Biography
Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?
The midwives! I love midwifery care; I studied and deeply considered a career in midwifery before pursuing an MD and the opportunity to be mentored by midwives was a pull I couldn't resist! I also love the variety of experience Brown residents get during their training: it's pretty unique to have a women's health ED. I have dreams of someday practicing in a rural community so acuity care and triage feel important to my life learning as well. Furthermore, I was impressed by the opportunities in family planning, particularly during a time when access to abortion is so varied and at risk state by state. Brown feels like a home that will support my passion and commitment to reproductive justice and will give me the skills I need to provide patient-centered services across the entire spectrum of pregnancy, regardless of pregnancy outcome.

One piece of advice for candidates:
Have fun with it, relax into it - you have worked so hard and if you have made it so far! All the places run together a bit on the interview trail, but the special places will stick out to you - if you find yourself thinking about a place again and again, it means something.
