Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

Everyone's commitment to equitable patient care was palpable on my interview day. The residents, attending, midwives, and even the department chair were incredibly down to earth. The patient population in Providence is super diverse and, as a bilingual provider, it was very important to me that I get to work with Spanish speaking patients. Most importantly, my gut told me this would be a really supportive environment to become a caring and surgically skilled OBGYN, and I wasn't wrong!

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

High risk obstetrics; health disparities in maternal morbidity and mortality

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

Eat! I love the food scene in Providence. Everything is sooo tasty!

Where do you live?

Federal Hill

One fun fact about you:

I love all things Bad Bunny and cannot wait to control the aux in the OR!

One piece of advice for candidates:

Reflect on the things that are important to YOU, and try to discern which programs seem like a particularly good fit for YOU. Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially to any current residents. Take note of how residents interact with each other. Listen to your gut feeling. It's usually right!
