Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

I fell in love with Providence as an undergrad at Brown. When it came time to rank residencies,  I remembered this program, full of passionate, welcoming people who were so happy tackling the toughest four years of their life, in one of my favorite cities on earth. My decision was easy.

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

Gyn onc and MFM for now. Incredibly different, but fascinating fields. We’ll see where four years of residency leads me.

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

If you haven’t checked out the East Bay Bike path, you need to. Running along the East Bay bike path, visiting the rocky seascapes of Newport, getting drinks at The East End, and strolling through downtown Providence (pre-COVID of course).

Where do you live?

Wayland Square. You can’t find a more charming neighborhood in Providence.

One fun fact about you:

I love to collect antique U.S. coins. My oldest American coin is a half dollar from 1828. The coin I am most proud of in my collection is a 1898 quarter that looks fresh from the U.S. mint! Brainteaser: Who was on the penny before Lincoln was born?

One piece of advice for candidates:

Truly be honest with yourself and others about who you are and what you want, and you will end up at a program that’s right for you.
