Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

I fell in love with Brown on the interview trail. I left my day so confident in Brown’s genuinely supportive, tight-knit community. I am so grateful to be gaining such an excellent training, to have every opportunity to explore my academic and advocacy interests, all in a place that feels like home. Our training here allows us to take care of a diverse, underserved population and provide truly comprehensive reproductive healthcare, both of which were my priorities when choosing a residency!

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

I was a doula before residency and want to include obstetrics as part of my practice. I’m still exploring generalist vs. subspecialist routes, but am considering Family Planning or MFM!

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

Food, water, get out into nature! Providence and Rhode Island are truly beautiful (especially in the summer) and I am so excited to continue to explore the area over the course of residency. I have already been amazed by the restaurants and beaches so close to my house! Within the city, there is truly something for everyone—the vibe changes so drastically even within a few blocks!

Where do you live?

Mount Hope--  many of my coresidents are walking distance!

One fun fact about you:

I have been a cow every Halloween for the past 12 years!

One piece of advice for candidates:

This is the time where you get to prioritize yourself! Trust your gut and the people who know you best. It can be challenging not to let outside forces pressure you, but really try to imagine where you want to spend so many hours for the next 4 years of your life.
