Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

I chose WIH/Brown ObGyn because I wanted a program that was not only excellent in obstetrics and surgical training but also provided me with a sense of community. I could honestly feel that during interview day. Everyone was so warm and supportive. This is a program that really cares about you as an individual and is truly dedicated to teaching. I’m so excited that I get to train with such amazing people every day.

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

So far, I love all aspects of OB/GYN. I’m not sure if I will sub-specialize but I am really interested in disparities around infertility care and access. I also love medical education, especially as it relates to social justice and mentorship.

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

I'm a foodie so definitely restaurant hopping. The food scene has been great so far.

Where do you live?

I live in Silver Lake, which is close to the West end.

One fun fact about you:

I love afrobeats music. I have the best playlists :)

One piece of advice for candidates:

Be yourself! As cliché as it sounds that’s really the best way to know your fit while looking at so many different programs. It’s important to go where you will be happy, even on the hard days. Remember, you got this. You’re going to do amazing things!
