Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

I was lucky enough to do an away rotation at WIH/Brown in my 4th year of medical school and I had never felt so welcomed at an institution. Everyone I interacted with was so intelligent, compassionate, caring, and kind, I knew there was nowhere else I wanted to be for residency. I was captivated by the idea of an entire hospital dedicated to women’s care and I wanted to be part of this community that prioritizes the care of underserved populations.

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

Disparities in care, access to care including contraception, abortion, and comprehensive sexual assault care, high-risk obstetrics

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

Exploring bike paths and running trails with my partner, creating lists of the best ice cream and food in Providence, and collecting names of beach towns to encourage my ocean-loving parents to visit me!

Where do you live?

Federal Hill

One fun fact about you:

I've memorized almost all of the lyrics to Hamilton but promise not to sing it unprompted!

One piece of advice for candidates:

When thinking about where you would like to be for residency, try to consider your unique attributes and accomplishments and where those will be most celebrated, so you can continue to pursue them in residency. This process is hard, tiring, and can feel very lonely, rely on your support team to talk things out and do your gut checks!
