Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

The unique clinical experiences inherent to working at a women’s hospital, and the thoughtfully integrated academic midwifery service at WIH stood out to me as distinctive program features which I felt to be inline with my professional goals. In addition to these training opportunities, everyone I interacted with during the application process was extremely genuine and down-to-earth, and I felt that my own passions and priorities were mirrored by the academic interests and extracurricular activities of the residents and faculty. I was also excited about living in Providence, a small, but lively east coast city with an exciting food scene. I’m so happy I made the decision to come to WIH!

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

My interests within OB/GYN are broad and I’m excited to continue exploring different career paths. I love practicing interprofessional healthcare and I have a strong appreciation for the midwifery model of care. I'm also drawn to gynecologic surgery and really enjoy being in the OR.

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

Go to the beach and eat all of the seafood

Where do you live?

The east side of Providence in Wayland Sq

One fun fact about you:

I did competitive theater in high school and my dream (for an embarrassing long time) was to win an academy award.

One piece of advice for candidates:

As much as you can, try to be yourself. Be honest with yourself about what you’re looking for and what you need to thrive in residency. Try to remain open throughout the application process and don’t be afraid to change your mind. Also - ask for help when you need it! Reach out to current/past residents for advice and to get your questions answered - we want to help you!
