Biography

Why did you choose WIH/Brown OB/GYN?

I loved the idea of training at a hospital dedicated to women's health, and I was blown away by everyone's kindness and warmth on my interview day. Everyone at this program is truly a close-knit family, and the residents are so well supported by each other and the faculty in their rigorous, well-rounded training here. I also wanted to move back to the East Coast to be closer to family in Boston and New York. I am so thrilled that we ended up matching at WIH and look forward to learning and growing into my OB/GYN career!

What are your interests within OB/GYN?

Immigrant and refugee health, trauma informed care, medical education.

What is your favorite thing to do in Providence and/or Rhode Island?

Enjoying the great outdoors and exploring new food and ice cream places with my husband, who couples matched with me in General Surgery!

Where do you live?

Pawtuxet Village

One fun fact about you:

I played the recorder at Carnegie Hall in 1st grade!

One piece of advice for candidates:

Keep an open mind and trust your instincts when it comes to interviewing with different programs! Don't be afraid to ask for feedback and advice, and lean on your peers - the Match process is brutal (especially the couples match) but the algorithm works in mysterious ways, and you will land in an amazing program wherever you end up :)
